How to choose a Display

Need help to choose the right display product for your needs?

Finding the right display is crucial to make the most out of your marketing efforts and budget. Type of event, location, budget, length of use, size and weight should all be taken into consideration when choosing a display. 2. Will I be using the display/s in one or many different locations?
Make sure the display/s you invest in, will work in all locations where you plan to use it. Try to plan both for your immediate need as well as marketing and sales activities in the future.
 
3. Have a Raffle or Giveaway at your Booth

Having a raffle or a giveaway will help draw people to your booth. With so many different things going on and so many different booths for people to visit, you have a very short time frame to catch the attendee's attention. 
 
A raffle or booth giveaway is a great way to drive traffic to your booth, and once they come by you can engage them on what you do. It doesn't have to be something big; Promotional items, pens, and candy are all great giveaways that will get people over to your booth.
 
4. Walk around the Show Floor and Talk to Everyone

Another great way to engage people at an event is for YOU to go up to THEM. Walk up to someone and tell them what you do, hand them your business card and ask them to visit your booth for more information. 
 
You can also talk to other exhibitors and discuss how they think the show is going and how it compares to other shows. You can even try to think of a way that your two companies can work together (in a way that will benefit you both!).

Is height limited?
If needed, double-check the location where you will use the display. Please note that some exhibition halls have a maximum height allowed. Under each product section you will find information about the size of the display.

Will it be used outdoor?
Be sure to choose a product that is designed for outdoor use. All Expand outdoor products have been carefully tested to resist wear and tear by weather and wind. Please see our Outdoor products.

Do I need a larger or taller display to make my message visible?

Will my message compete with other messages in the same location?
Take a minute to think about what the location will look like. Will there be other messages that will compete with your message? If so, put a little extra effort into the layout of your artwork to make sure that your message will be seen and easily read. A good idea may also be to use a larger or taller display, see our large displays/pop-up walls or our Expand MediaScreen XL.

Is it important that my message is visible from more than one direction?
In some locations, people pass by from several directions. If so, choose a display that is double-sided or visible 360 degrees. Please see:

Does my message include a lot of text and information?
In most instances you only have a few seconds to catch a customer's attention so it is important not to overload your graphic with a lot of text. It may be worthwhile to invest in more than one display instead of trying to fit too much text onto one graphic panel or display.

Do I need one or more displays?
It all depends on the event, location and floor space. The goal is to make your message or brand visible. By spreading your message out over multiple displays, you can create a powerful impact and environment that will catch attention.
 
Do I need to change the message often?
Do you need to change message or alter between messages often? Choose a display with an extra quick and easy function for change of graphic. Use the same display and just alter the graphic. Should the same message be used over and over again?
If you are planning to use a display product with the same graphic for a long time, make sure the graphic is printed on a print material that is durable. Contact us for advice.
 
Will it be up for a longer period of time or for short events?
Some displays are extra suitable for short events or for occasions where you move between locations and need to set up and take down the display often. These displays are extra fast to set up:

Should it be used for a campaign in many different locations?

Do I need to create a small meeting point/do I need a place to gather people?
For many marketing events, there is a need for a presentation counter or a place where a product can be demonstrated. Check out our counters (which also function as transport boxes on wheels). Also see how you can combine a counter with our other display products.
 
Is weight an issue (to carry, to bring on a plane or to ship)?
If the weight is crucial, it is important to make sure you purchase a display(s) that meet your transportation needs. Consider how frequently you are going to be transporting these displays and how they are going to be shipped or transported. Most of our products are lightweight and collapse into a bag or case.
